    Abb belts

Hey im wondering if these are useful or not, im running, boxing and a bit of Weight Lifting atm and im looking pretty good and allmost back to what i was a year ago before i let myself blow up a little.

The problem is i can't really do sit ups my back is absolutely killing me, it's the summer soon so i want to look more cut and back to my old shape. Has anyone had any exp with these belts, i notice they cost a fair bit, but price doesn't mean everything..

are you exercising your back? back pain can be caused by disproportionate training to the abs.

squats, deadlifts and reverse crunches will strengthen your back muscles.. make sure you do them with proper form to avoid injury. videos of good form can be found on

      ^^^This.

Make sure you are working your back as well. Especially your lower back. Disproportion in one area can cause problems in the other.

So do things like hyperextensions, GHR's, planks, Deadlifts, Airplanes (I think that's what they are called)

Weighted Belts don't really help with pain. They are just used to keep everything "tight" when you are doing heavy lifts.

But even then, there is no real evidence that they prevent or reduce the risk of injury.

Make sure you are stretching too.
