Do some of you train with your friends?

Hey all..just wondering if some of you have friends who train at the same gym. Im talking about friends you knew before boxing.

I invited 2 of my friends to come boxing with me...i just pray to God that they are there to work and not be annoying.

One of my friends come with me every now and then, don't think he's interested in boxing but he still comes and trains just to try and stay fit and for company I guess, there's always people with me when I go running.

Apart from that not really, kind of glad actually because he when he does come I spend most of the day laughing and not being as focused as I would if he wasn't there.

I've tried to teach at least four of my boys the basics and do mitt work with them but none have showed any dedication to the sport.

For me, it was the other way around. My buddies were the ones that took me to learn boxing/Muay Thai.

I have two friends, one was just an all-aorund Martial Artist, learned alot of the different Martial Arts, and the other boxed.

I've always liked boxing, watched it on t.v. and stuff, but never boxed prior to them bringing me to their gym.

i got a couple dudes that are real close friends that ive worked out before and one is lazy and the other just wants to fight MMA... I told them they should give boxing a try and to come train at the gym with me, and one doesnt want to just wont give it a try but he always wants to spar with me and **** and i have to hold back on lots of punches because hes so tall and just easy to hit... the other who wants to do MMA spars with me sometimes lightly but he can box alright for MMA, doesnt have great technique in his punches but very fast hands and he's a strong guy for his size (155 lbs.), and he presses the action no matter who he's sparring, even me at 185 lol, but I cant blame him because he wants to do MMA, and his boxing is straight for MMA, he needs to learn some jui-jitsui or wrestling to go with that, something that the gym i go to doesnt offer, because its just a pure boxing gym, old school trainers and guys who really prolly dont "dig" MMA... But it still sucks cuz I'd like someone I know to get into that ****, would be real sweet for real! Ive got alotta dudes Ive met through the gym and a few dudes I know through my uncle, but those dudes arent really friends, and im cool with the guys at the gym but dont really chill with any of them outside of boxing.. But I guess it's alright that way because that way I dont have any distractions, and I can still form new friendships at the same time
