    How can I be an explosive puncher ?

    My sparring partners say I hit hard but they say im heavy handed rather than explosive. How can I be a explosive puncher or there is no way ?

      First relax your muscles as much as possible. Practice exploding from this state. Try to feel and understand what muscles should be firing and which ones should be completely shut off. You will need an understanding to technique, leverage and the human body mechanics

        what julian jackson did was he would launch a punch at full speed (like with no power) and just before connection he would brace his fist and wrist as hard as he could so on impact it would be travelling full speed before slowing down with a thud right on impact. also learn to shift and work on hard on your shoulders and butt area (squats, planks and burpees will significantly increase your power)

            I would imagine that squats, dead lifts, and anything that works hip/core rotation would increase punching power... Has anyone noticed that any particular lifts/exercises produce increased punching power results without a noticeable loss of speed or mobility?

              I think this and also swing your arm like a club. That's what the hardest hitters all do. Relax shoulder muscles on pull back and then engage as the punch swings forwards

                  I don't buy that. It's quite evident that Julian tenses very hard when he punches, almost every single time. He does not punch super fast, but really tense.. so it's actually mass heavy blows, not speed.
