My sparring partners say I hit hard but they say im heavy handed rather than explosive. How can I be a explosive puncher or there is no way ?

First relax your muscles as much as possible. Practice exploding from this state. Try to feel and understand what muscles should be firing and which ones should be completely shut off. You will need an understanding to technique, leverage and the human body mechanicsAuss87316 likes this.

what julian jackson did was he would launch a punch at full speed (like with no power) and just before connection he would brace his fist and wrist as hard as he could so on impact it would be travelling full speed before slowing down with a thud right on impact. also learn to shift and work on hard on your shoulders and butt area (squats, planks and burpees will significantly increase your power)Auss87316 likes this.
