Workout apps are gimmicks for the most part. The best plan is the one you put together with your own goals in mind. If your goal is only to get your heart pumping with no other benefits than yes to workouts apps but if you have a bigger goal than that then invest some time into what you are trying to achieve and learn and put together something that will accomplish your goal.

The best app is exercise timer (both ios and android)

You can plug in your own exercises in the order and way you want to do them with the amount of breaks you want and once you got it set up you push start and it will keep you accountable and roll right through your workout. Its what I use.

Nice, you gonna like it. forgot to mention its a free app but to get its full benefits you gonna need premium..... savy users can find the full version easily for free through google.

The way I set it up is,

Exercise (set it to for reps, and put a 7minute timer)
                    Break
Exercise (set it to for reps, and put a 7minute timer)
                    Break
and so on and so on.

Reason I put the exerciser timer to more time than I need because I never know how long my set is going to take so I just add more time and when im done I can just tap the screen on the app and it will instantly complete that exercise and jump to the next set/break.

It also has a log that breaks down what you do the most, how long the excercise took you, etc etc.
