Hello everybody!
So I first started training in some gloves that are supposed to only replace the padding ( i didn't know that back then, i thought they're MMA gloves), and I had a bruised knuckle and my fingers were bleeding a lot
Then I moved to some cheap 10oz boxing gloves, and I had no problem with them at all. I went full power, full speed, anything, and I didn't have any problem with my hands or anything.
Then I wanted to try something new, I bought some Adidas boxing pack, with a mouthpiece, wraps, and a 12oz pair of boxing gloves (made out of leather)
I didn't try them for a pretty long time since I couldn't use the heavybag anymore, but when I started using it again, and I started using my gloves I realised they're kinda tight.
And they're not tight to the point where I have no circulation, everything feels fine until I clinch my fist, which puts pressure on the top of my middle knuckle from my left hand
I didn't realise this was a problem until I started getting a bruised knuckle everytime I'd hit the heavybag
I've heard you gotta ,,break in'' the gloves, like sit on them or something to stretch them a little bit, but I didn't do that. I was planning to, but I guess since I used them on the heavybag quite some time they're already ,,broken in'', you can correct me if I'm wrong
The problem is now I don't feel like going on the heavybag at all, because I know the bruise is gonna come back. I thought my knuckle is broken, but no symptoms seem to match, if I don't hit anything for 2-3 days, my hand feels like new. Once I touch it, or hit it to something, it starts to hurt.
Is the problem at my knuckle, is it actually broken, or should I just break in my gloves and see what's up?
