yo, I use that method also.

However I wrap a lil bit higher, right where the knuckles are located at.

I wrap around 10-12x in that area, since I take precaution for them a lot.

      Plus 6x on the wrist.

so far it works good, hands feel great and no soreness in them.

How many times do you do the X pattern?

Only do it once and I also skip the thumb part.

          Hand is fine for now.

I'm doing 3x wrist then 4x knuckles then 1x Cross/X then 2x Thumb (1 each way) then 1x Knuckle and 1x Wrist. How do you get so much on your knucks and wrist lol. I might switch the first knuckle wrap to 3x and make 2x knuckle at the end for better fitting. I also sometimes get annoyed with the thumb because it stays a little loose.

              lol.

it's easy. I use most of it on the knuckles and wrist. Since those are the areas that can damage your hand the most in boxing.

Yeah the thumb area most of the time stays lose, and I noticed that without it, I have a lesser problem to deal with. I wouldnt recommend it doing that part. Try it.

PS: I have some Everlast 180's. They are very long, nice, thick and durable. Wouldn't get no other hand wraps.

I'll try it w/o the thumb thanks for the tip . I have 2 pairs of the EL 180's too, pretty good stuff but I like my titles since their a little thicker. The good thing about the EL's is their pretty good and I don't have to order to get em, I can just stop by the a local sporting goods store.
