OK, these are the ones I bought from the Title Boxing guy here on the forum. I bought 14oz gloves because I will only use them for bag and mitt work. I have some very nice sparring gloves that I don't want to ruin so I needed an extra pair of training gloves because my old training gloves were literally falling apart.
The Good:
#1 - First thing you notice is how nice they look. Very good looking glove, I got the black and white but they are also available in red and white. Stitching looks top quality, Title seems to have put a lot of effort into making these gloves. They seem durable, tough training gloves.
#2 - I think they are made more for narrower hands as they are a tight fit. I still need to break them in but I am a person with wider hands and the first day they were a little tight but that may be a good thing or bad thing depending on what your hand size is.
#3 - I got the hook and loop ones since I need to get them off and on very quickly. They give very good support on the wrist and that's due to the wide velcor strap that I haven't seen in any other glove. It covers the entire wrist area of the glove and looks very nice as well with the Title logo on the front.
#4 - They have good protection of the hand. I guess the Gel lining does make a difference in the glove. It felt very good on the heavy bag and on the mitts the head trainer said he could feel every punch with a lot of power. I'm definitely a power hitter but he said they make an even harder feeling punch.
The Bad:
#1 - The first thing you notice is how heavy they are. Very top heavy and not very well balanced. That's not bad if you like a heavier glove and since it's for training, it gives my arms a good work out because of the extra weight. I have 16oz Sparring reyes gloves and these 14oz actually weigh more than my sparring gloves.
#2 - Again, it's a narrow glove. I have wide hands and it seems to fit me very tight over my wraps. I think I need to break the glove in, so I will give it time but I don't know what the break in time will exactly be.
#3 - The thumb position isn't the greatest but it isn't the worst. It doesn't give you a great angle as far as being able to make a perfect fist but it isn't as bad as other gloves I have tried on.
#4 - The design and curvature of the glove at the end of your fingers doesn't allow you to really open your hand up completely. Since that is vital for good defence, it is a set back for the glove. Again tho, in time that could change because these are brand new gloves so maybe they will give a little in time and it won't be so bad.
Overrall, I give the glove a 7.5 out of 10. The biggest draw back is definitely the weight of the glove. These are 14oz and are a heavy glove, I could only imagine what the 16oz glove is like. Also, last note, they are a "punchers" glove, the padding is very compact. So if you are getting these to spar as well, I recommend nothing less than the 16oz for the sake of your partner.
I still would recomment these as a good training glove though because I personally like the extra weight, it gives me a good workout and the protection, feel and quality of the glove is very good for the $55 price tag.
