this is what i know

cleto reyes = majority of lower weight classes use this/most expensive/less padding for more punching power/less padding means more prone to injury.

grant = middleweights or heavier use this/more padding means more protection/not as pricey as reyes but still up there/still has power but not reyes like due to padding.

winning = expensive. thats all i know. expensive.

title = i have no idea but i like their prices and i havent really read much complaint about them.

top contender = cheap like everlast but better quality and durability.

everlast = neverlast.

this is what i know from doing my research from last night. can anyone else give me some brands because im thinking of buying a boxing glove that isnt expensive but i do have enough money to buy decent training gloves just not the $80+ ones.

right now my choices are title and top contender. im hearing alot from ringside too. but i dont really know yet.

winning = p4p #1 glove for hand protection, and protection for your sparring opponent. there must be some reason why today's top fighters use them for training. margarito, mosley, cotto, pacquiao, mayweather, etc.

everlast cheap line = neverlast.

everlast's pro line, however = great stuff.



i'd go with the ringside imf tech 16oz gloves for training. or the title gel.

One thing to remember is lace up still offers very good wrist support without the weight of hook and loop. yes H&L gloves are alot heavier.

For sparring or bag gloves i highly suggest rival gloves. They are a pretty new company, i have 1 pair of bag gloves and 1 pair of sparring gloves and i will never buy any other brand. I had my bag gloves for almost a year and they are the same as when i bought them.

Thats comming from a guy that used to go through a pair of bag gloves every 3-4 months.

I might sound like i'm working for them or something but i am not, i'm just a satisfied customer, the only gloves that can come even close are titles in terms of protection and even then the rivals have more durability.

yea I have rivals to, they offer tons of protection. Little heavier than the average glove though, 12's feel like 14's, 10's feel like 12's imo.

Another vote for Rival.

I have to disagree with them feeling heavier though, atleast their sparring gloves. I have 18oz sparring gloves and everyone who tries them on says they feel lighter than the 16oz gloves we have at the gym.

i got 18oz TITLE training gloves they are great. ive been meaning to buy another pair like 12 or 14oz to spar, maybe some reyes but i dont think they have hookandloop do they?

I have a pair of Windy 16 oz gloves....i highly recommend them but I'm not sure if they sell them in the US...
