Ok so bit of background, im 18 years old and im a male. I did boxing about 2 years ago and didn't take it seriously. Just did it for a bit of fun for about a year (on and off) never had any fights, sparred a few times though. Have a good body, not 100% sure of weight or anything at the minute or body fat but will find out tomorow and let you know. Seriously doubt this is going to be a factor atm because in my opinion im in great shape. Not the fittest but you wouldn't be able to tell that by looking at me.
Ok so for the past 6 or so months ive gone seriously off the rails, heavy drinking, hard drugs, unhealthy foods everyday etc. My lifestyle just went completely downhill for a while. Stopped all this about 2 months ago, havent touched a drug in about 2 months. I still drink every weekend and i'm not going to lie when i say i don't intend to stop doing this. I just don't drink as heavily and don't get into awful states as much.
Right the time limit ive set myself: i intend to go back to this boxing gym after Christmas. Alot of you will probably say "Why not go back now" but i don't think im ready physically or mentally to go back yet. So i have around 2 months to get myself ready physically, as i get more physically ready i know the mentality to go back will come. I'll get in touch with the trainer over the winter holidays and explain everything to him and sort things out with him, that shoudn't be a problem.
So down to the crunch now. I need to start home training asap so i can see a difference in my fitness level and in my strengths and other things in the next 2 months. As i said im still going to be going out most or all weekends so weekend training will probably be off limits for me. Also i hate gyms (with the exception of my boxing gym) so im not going to attend one of those so it will all be home/road training that i do. Can anyone give me any advice, links etc to help me draw up a schedule of what i'm going to have to be doing over the next couple of months? I will really need alot of advice on this and really appreciate any help i'm given!! If you need any more information on me i'll be happy to give it to you.
