    Quick question..........

Ok.. So I've been training all out for a month straight 7 days a week.. its 4 weeks till the sunshine states and today i noticed a drop in everything i did in the gym.. everyone was even saying i looked tired...

I started pushing and i got back to normal... but I was under enormous strain just to make my usual times that i made for the last month....

Now of course everyone is saying I should take a good 2 or 3 day rest to get back to normal.. punchdrunk also gave me some advice similar...

But i was thinking about this...

If I push through this another week making my times/numbers as i did today would i be able to increase.. or do you figure i would just keep falling... or get injury....

because i was figuring if i could do this another week then rest i should be EVEN better than i would be if i took the rest now.. am i just thinking 2 far into it?

    Anyone ever tried this?

You're choice man, if you're body feels like it can go on. Push if you think you may need a rest then take a rest but if you push on you will be better but face risk of injury.

The thing with your body is that it has a neural charge and one thing you don't wanna do is burn out. If you feel that you can do it for one more week, go ahead. But once you start losing sleep, feel constantly tired, lose appetite, etc... you are in trouble.
      Also watch your joints too.

But it is really up to you, be sure to get good sleep and food though, it always helps recovery.

First of all, props to you for training that hard for that period of time.

I would suggest maybe toning it down gradually each week before your sunshine state games. For instance, you said the games are in 4 weeks, so, maybe next week, you could work out 6 days instead of 7. Do that for the other 2 weeks. Then, the week right before your first fight, work out maybe 4-5 days as to not burn out before the competition.

This seems allright to me, but I'm no expert. Your best bet would be asking someone like punchdrunk.

Some days can just be rotten for various factors that you might not be aware of right away (something like weather, stuff at work, etc.). See how things go the next few days.

if ur reallyy feelin not like ur normal self then try to rest the upcoming week, but if u cant stop training then just keep training but have an easy week, do a lil less of wut u normally would do.

Also, another tip, if you train 7 days a week, try to diversify your training as much as possible on different days. They say the best rest is a change of activity, so you know.

Your body NEEDS rest to recover, rebuild and improve on what you have. Sorry DA1 but if your smart you'll rest a bit. Take a day off man, go to the beach and work on that tan . Its good to work hard but you could be taking steps backwards.

On the other hand you could push through it for a while and possibly be better for it. But if in 3 or 4 days you still feel ****ty just rest. Maybe a couple days where the only thing you do is roadwork,Ive experienced the same thing your goin through and I find running helps you recover and can be relaxing if you take it easy (8-10 minute miles).

hey da1, i feel you with your problem, i am the kind of guy that gains confidence by training hard plus its fun, so i don't like taking days off makes me feel bad and bored, but sometimes its really necessary,
my advice for you that seems to be like me in the way that training makes you feel good but its probably leading to overtraining, would be not to take days off but take the next week lighter, work on your technique, do some light running, and dont push yourself to the limit this time.

Your body will be grateful and your mind will be in peace.

                    Hope this works for ya
