For those who have bad breathing technique (like me)

Most of you guys probably don't have this trouble but when I concentrate too much while im boxing I sometimes literally forget to breathe properly (if at all sometimes) and end up getting out of breath at the end of a scrap.

Today while i was messing around on my punchbag i started goin all out doin stuff that would usually make me gasp for breath, but i was whistling a song while i was breathing out (aswell as in). I was breathing hard but i wasn't gasping for breath.

Since I was trying to keep the tune going without running out of breath (as in if there was a long note i had to breathe in deep to whistle it), i was basically forcing myself to breathe properly. Breathing is one of the most important parts of singing (whistling is the same except you only make one note) so i suppose that might be what helped.

Gay as it sounds whistling helps me box lol, just posted to try help anyone else with the same problem i have.

Note: If you look at Mayweathers mouth when hes boxing, doesn't it look like he's whistling? He's always got his mouth in a pout.

Is having your mouth closed and having your lips closed the same thing?

As in having your jaw clenched but still leaving your lips open to breath?

I breath trough my nose when I box and I train myself to breath though my nose when I do the bag and running. you don't want to be cought with an open jaw when you're fighting.

I completely stole the way I breathe from Juan Diaz.

The absolute most efficient way to get things done and save oxygen.

If you can breathe through your teeth, great. But it builds up saliva and it can get annoying.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.,
