First fight at a higher weight class?

Is it a bad idea to have my first fight at a higher weight class than my minimum weight? Right now I weigh just shy of 200, but I know I can get down to at least 165, and possibly 152. My question is, would it be a bad idea to have my first fight at 178, or even 165(if I feel I can safely cut the weight to drop to 152)? Right now I'm thinking I could be prepared for my first fight(in regards to skill and stamina) before I reach my target weight. Is making my lowest possible weight another thing I should do before I have my first fight? Or is it ok to have a fight while I am still in the process of losing weight? I will talk to my trainer about this when the time is right, but for now I am just wondering what you guys think.

advice man im a natural 165-178 guy who as of now weighs about 200 pds i just fought my second fight at that weight (HW) and despite the fact that i won my match i was way outmatched as far as strength and i could feel the difference luckily my skills, chin and right uppercut got me through the fight, my advice for anyone who can fight at a lighter weight is work your ass off and do it because its better for your development! I wont figth at HW again unless i have to
