could u imagine if diego corales vs jose luis castillo had this ref, that was a joke of stoppage, these guys are not babies this fight had the makings of being a real classic, i like crawford dont get me wrong but that was a joke stoppage, in todays day u wont get great fights because of refs like that , ffs, i thaught it was going to be great he rocked him but didnt deserve to be stopped let fighters fight ffs, even when were hurt, brook would of dreamed of positions like that like all us fighter do is fighting out of trouble but now we not allowed
.
Tony Weeks was the ref in the first Corrales - Castillo fight.

You do know Tony Weeks did ref Corrales v Castillo fight, right? Tony did great last night, Brook was dazed and confused 🤷🏾*♂️! That how’s your get fighters hurt! Great stoppage imo
I agree the ropes held him up after that first shot but he was definately stopped prematurely after that, not given any chance at all, crazy considering Brook's a former champion.
I’m all about giving guys an opportunity to fight out of danger, and Weeks actually said “I’m gonna give you a chance” before resuming the action after the knockdown. Brook was facing sideways with Crawford teeing off so I’m ok with the stoppage. If anything it’s up to Kell to face his opponent and fire back, or at least try to clinch
lol so 'a major statement' is beating some washed up fighter who cant even make the weight safe? maybe im old fashioned but id be more impressed if he fought someone in the top 5 of the division, not someone who is 5 years past his best
That's funny coming from someone who has a picture of Golovkin as their avatar. He fought Brook and he's a middleweight.
Honestly it wasn't Golovkin's fault and it isn't Bud's fault regarding the level of opposition. Nobody wanted to fight Golovkin in his prime and no one wants to fight Crawford in his prime and Haymon doesn't want to let any of his boys out of the backyard.
