Comments Thread For: Three Fall Matchroom USA Cards on DAZN in Works; Jacobs, Haney, Chocolatito

While Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn formally announced a slate of fall fights that will take place in the United Kingdom, including the Alexander Povetkin-Dillian Whyte heavyweight rematch on Nov. 21, the schedule for his Matchroom Boxing USA remains a work in progress. However, multiple sources told BoxingScene that there are three cards in the works that would stream on DAZN -- one in October and two in November -- as follow-ups to the one card Matchroom USA has put on since boxing returned during the coronavirus pandemic. That card was on Aug. 15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Jessica McCaskill outpointed Cecilia Braekhus in a major upset to take the undisputed women's welterweight title.

Danny Jacobs just had a tune up vs JCC. he needs to fight someone legit.

THIS... Jacobs is not getting any younger and if he wants his shot at greatness again, he needs to take risks.

Would love to actually see Jacobs vs Bivol at a CW perhaps...

Wouldn't mind seeing Jacobs versus Ryder. The British fighter represented himself well against Callum Smith. Have no interest watching Rosado get his face busted up to a bloody pulp while losing a clear decision.

Estrada and Cuadras is a great fight and I like the idea of it down in Mexico City.

I can't imagine Haney will be facing GRJ and the Gamboa fight doesn't really move the needle but we can see if he stops him quicker than Tank. Booker should give Hrgovic rounds and is a step up from his opposition.

Most of the fights mentioned are of the same ilk we've seen from PBC and ESPN/Top Rank thus far. Until live gates are a reality, I imagine this is what we should expect from the majority of the upcoming, non-PPV cards.

He needs to do something. Demetrius Andrade was close to Rozier I believe, but now that Jacobs fired him that is an easy fight to make since both are in DAZN. They are the worst at matching up their in house talent, i swear. Say what you want About PBC but Harrison, Charlo, Hurd, Lara, Williams, Lubin, and now Rosario have all fought at least one name from this list and most of them fought two names.

DAZN has all these damn super middleweights and can’t put together a decent match. Their getting sued cuz the top fighter in the world can’t get a fight in the weight class where they have another sitting lineal champion, and another separate titleholder.
