Even if you don’t agree with Paulie it’s an embarrassment to fire him. He was good at his job. The idea that you can be good at your job and get fired for having an opinion that doesn’t fit the popular narrative is pathetic. And I say this as someone who disagrees with Paulie.

Honestly i don't even think he was fired for that, they were looking for reasons NOT to renew his contract. I think the Wilder thing was something Showtime wanted to deal with. They got their breaks through a old interview that no one paid any attention to for months. He is still been paid until his contract runs out with them.

He never said that. He did claim Eastern europeans are currently on top, and that its a circle that goes around in boxing. The main issue was his denial of "Systematic racism" in america. And he use Haney as an example of someone who said something as a black person and kinda got away with it and that if a white boxer had said that then he/she would have been in bigger trouble and fired.

Paulie M was wrong there because Haney is a young man, he isn't a massive name with massive endorsements from big corporate. Boxers have been able to say such in the past as they are fighters. If Haney was a commentator then he WOULD be fired for saying what he said too. Even then still Haney had to backtrack and apologies for what he said.

Haney had to apologize and was kind of criticized.

I meant his “opinion” it was a blatant biased lie. It’s ok for us here to show favoritism towards certain fighters of certain backgrounds cuz no one gives s fucck about what we say but Paulie is a tv personality who’s speaking in front in millions so when he blatantly lies about boxing boxing being “dominated” by euro fighters it’s a blatant lie caused by racism on his part because he purposely left out Latino fighters due to his hate of them.
