Originally posted by Ray* View PostHe never said that. He did claim Eastern europeans are currently on top, and that its a circle that goes around in boxing. The main issue was his denial of "Systematic racism" in america. And he use Haney as an example of someone who said something as a black person and kinda got away with it and that if a white boxer had said that then he/she would have been in bigger trouble and fired.
Paulie M was wrong there because Haney is a young man, he isn't a massive name with massive endorsements from big corporate. Boxers have been able to say such in the past as they are fighters. If Haney was a commentator then he WOULD be fired for saying what he said too. Even then still Haney had to backtrack and apologies for what he said.

He got fired for having an opinion. And his opinion was not even something that would cause any real shock or offence, it was just something you would say in conversation on this topic.
But that’s all it takes now

Paulie’s an idiot. Haney’s typical young ignorance. Boys talk like that in High School all the time.
But Paulie talking about dominant species...lol.. Seems like your typical hard Racist from the east coast. Go to a Bar in Boston and argue such things you’ll easily get into fights, and I mean heads in the bar all for what Paulie said. Lets keep it 100

People need to just grow a back bone and get on with it.
Thats pathetic he got sacked cause he had an opinion that a certain amount of people wouldnt like, well guess what that's what opinions are.

Paulie Malignaggi is not a racist, just extremely opinionated 'Which is good, but sometimes in the public eye you have to check yourself' He worked for a company, the company does not work for him.
I think he will be fine, and get plenty of other commentating opportunities 'He could of just apologized but he did not etc' Malignaggi is very articulate, I am sure he could of went on air and explained his opinion more deeply, and he would of been fine.

It’s ok for us here to show favoritism towards certain fighters of certain backgrounds cuz no one gives s fucck about what we say but Paulie is a tv personality who’s speaking in front in millions so when he blatantly lies about boxing boxing being “dominated” by euro fighters it’s a blatant lie caused by racism on his part because he purposely left out Latino fighters due to his hate of them.
Not sure how long you’ve been hearing that little prick but he’s been anti Latino for a long time so yea that pos got what he deserved.
