Again, boxing is a meritocracy for the whole package. As much as GGG is trolled, he did his dues with HBO branding and went 12 twice with Canelo with a cloud of controversy for who won. Such a fighter has value. Though as we learned in 2019, Hearn and Oscar schemed DAZN thinking they could convince GGG vs Canelo 3, hence GGG’s contract.

Oscar is greedy and cheap and often won't pay the potential opponent enough. That is why Canelo does not yet have an opponent. Still he is not that bad a promoter since he is worth over 200 million bucks and much of that money must have come from his business. He helped Canelo become the best paid boxer fighting today except possibly Pacquiao.
