Well perhaps if Margarito had employed Spinks' tactics of running away from Santos he might have won. Futhermore he was 0-1-1 in those fights as one was stopped after like 2 rounds due to a headbutt. Guess what the second fight was also stopped due to a headbutt. Guess what else they were fighting in Puerto Rico (where Santos is from). So you blame Margarito for getting screwed by a hometown decision and stoppage when he clearly was coming on in the fight and credit Spinks for running away from his opponent to get a favorable decision. And why does he need negotiating power with DLH and what leverage does this title bring him (trust me DLH doesn't care about winning belts at this point).

So you basically acknoweldge that this is a ****ty fight that is only being talked about to preserve the POSSIBILITY of a fight later...no guarantee that DLH ever fights again. This is BS. If he wanted to fight Spinks in February AFTER signing to fight DLH in May I would understand the tune up to get used to the weight. Now there is no such excuse. Please try to see it objectively.
