    Who's in Favor of Spinks-Mayweather?

Read This & Give me your thoughts. Its not as long as it looks Also remember by in favor I just mean that your ok with it. It may not be your 1st choice but you still think its a good fight.

I Love & Hate this fight so much. I think these are easily 2 of the elite fighters in the game today and I love watching pure boxers so I really love this fight. I have also said that Spinks is the most underrated guy in boxing and no matter who he beats, he never gets any credit for it.

I hate this fight for that same reason. Its a lose/lose situation for Floyd because 90% of the writers & fans now seem to hate Spinks and thinks he sucks. I think Spinks easily beats Rivera, beats Margarito, & beats Mosley. There is no way they will be able to stop him from boxing there shoes because they arent lefty like Zab & they arent extremely tall with crazy long arms like Karmazin.

Margarito is good but he's too slow to beat Spinks. If Santos gave him mad problems then Spinks would really give him problems. Most will say that Shane's power would KO him and he has the speed. Thats true but Spinks Southpaw stance would make him look bad.

I didnt want Floyd to fight Spinks now because I wanted Spinks to kick Rivera's ass 1st to make believers out of these non believers and then the fight wouldve been bigger. On the other hand I think it wouldve been a bad idea to fight Spinks later because Floyd has just fought 2 lefties in a row and this would be the best time to fight Spinks instead of fighting a righty or 2 first because then Spinks style may confuse him. I also think it is good for Floyd to have this fight because Spinks has only had 1 fight at 154 & Floyd can get used to the weight for the Oscar fight.

As for the fight itself. I have been 50/50 on this fight the whole time. Part of me thinks that Floyd can just walk him straight down & tag him all night. I think Spinks is a better boxer then Zab but he doesnt have Zab's power so Floyd wont be as cautious as he was against Zab. Although Spinks did seem to hit harder early against Karmazin. The other half of me thinks that Spinks will give Floyd more problems then anyone. That it could look like the 1st few rounds of the Zab fight but for the whole fight. I think his lefty style can give Floyd problems, he is much bigger then Floyd, and has great speed. He is also the best boxer Floyd has ever faced and Floyd may struggle at this weight. I honestly wouldnt be shocked if Floyd killed Spinks & I honestly wouldnt be shocked if Floyd lost this fight.

In closing I will also like to add that this is a tough fight and Floyd should get alot of credit for it. I also want to add that Floyd is a straight beast for so quickly going from 135 to 154. That **** is unheard of now days and its even more special because Floyd is Super small. Everyone knows he should be fighting at 140 right now and I think he still could fairly easy make 135. He was the smallest 140 pounder out there, by far the smallest WW, so you know he will be super small at 154. I think he wanted to fight there so he could be used to the weight for Oscar. This fight also makes the Winky fight a reality now if Floyd looks good. This is bigger then people think.

honestly..i didnt read that whole thing. Spinks runs instead of fights..not early but down the stretch still..he sucks and Floyd is a ducker.

While I also admire skilled boxers, Floyd among them, I disagree with one aspect of your statement. That Mayweather is a beast for moving up in weight so quickly. Rather than give him credit, I am calling him out on it. We can't say he has cleaned out every division he has been in, or gathered up enough titles to neccesitate him moving up in weight, he never even showed he could whoop ass if he stayed in certain divisons.

Yes, Floyd has captured belts at different weight classes, but he also has jumped up in weight so quickly that in many divisions, like Welterweight and Jr. Welterweight, nothing much can be shown for his stay at any one weight since the lower classes.

You can quote me on this, despite being a Mayweather fan, if 130 was Floyd's home he is treating all the higher weight classes as motels. He comes, stays a really short time without cleaning anything up, and then hits the road again. Never really leaves his mark, and then the next tenant comes in.

That is becoming his career. Floyd should legitamize his stay at Welterweight by fighting Baldomir for the linear championship.

Baldi poses more of a risk IMO. he is on a roll. I dont belive Floyd can hurt him, there is no telling what can happen late in the fight if Baldi was to pressure fom the start.

I disagree with you in that i feel both Margarito and Mosley would beat him. He would fade down the stretch and get KO'd by both guys, and once he's tired of running laps he doesn't have enough power to keep either one of those guys of off him.

With respect to mayweather i think that's the fight in which he stands the LEAST chance. Mayweather will give him a boxing lesson, out brawl him, out move him, he's better than him in every single department, Spinks is in some deep trouble if he makes this fight, he's selling his title again, floyd isn't "slow start" karmazin or "whatever the **** is wrong with him" judah.

Everytime I think of fighters that I like to face Mayweather, I never come up with Spinks.

That makes sense but most of it isnt his fault. The only guy he hasnt fought is Margarito and the only reason why that is a big story is because of money because Margarito surely hasnt beaten anyone for people to be hyping him so much. Floyd hasnt cleaned out but how can he make guys fight him? At 135 he tried to fight Freitas, at 140 he tried to fight Cotto & Hatton, at 147 I admit he didnt do much there but alot of that is Zab's faught for the fact that he was the Undisputed Champ and was upset by Baldy. If that didnt happened then Floyd would be the Champ. He still tried to fight Hatton. Mosley turned him down and so far so has Oscar.

Now he shouldve fought Baldy but Im not as big on that fight because I think Floyd wouldve killed him and I would love to see Baldy get the big win over just one more guy because alot of people still dont even give him credit for his wins.

Also dont forget that everything Floyd has done has always been about Oscar. Thats the Big Money Super Fight he wants, so he has to move up. Alot of people act like they dont understand that. If Oscar wasnt around then Floyd wouldnt keep jumping up like he has.

I give Floyd alot of credit because Paul Williams just gave a interview saying how Margarito only wants to fight Floyd because he knows Floyd is too small to beat the real WW's. Now that quick Floyd is at 154. I give him props for that because he was by far the smallest man in any division in boxing when he was a WW and now he's going to 154 which is crazy. He only walks around at 149 and thats why he comes in so small at WW so I dont know how he can make it at 154 and it will be interesting to see his weight

im in favor only cuz i want floyd to win his fifth title in his fifth weight division, not cuz cory spinks is "such a good fighter".

spinks is a punk and doesnt present a huge threat to floyd. but having five titles to his credit does a lot for floyds legacy.

I don't mind the fight....It should be interesting but would rather see PBF fight Hatton or Cotto or even Margarito first.
