a+ being muhammad ali, and f being ismael sillakh?

probably around a b. world title belt with a lot of defenses. top 3 p4p fighter at his peak. very good fighter with unreal power and chin, and a very nuanced approach to apply pressure and slugging. 350 amateur fights, silver medal, heavyduty amateur background and it showed.

but he didn't get a lot of the big names in with him [cotto, martinez being the biggest names and most blatant ducks,] and it hurt his stock a lot. was the "boogeyman" more than he was the guy with a fantastic resume.

no slouch at all and i expect him to get at least onto a hall of fame ballot, if not a spot in the hall after a few years of eligibility.

Yeah I felt G won both...but Canelo gave him 2 great fights so I rate Canelo quite high as well...and Canelo is still getting better it seems while G is certainly close to being done.
In their rematch, Alvarez fought the fight oh his life against Golovkin. Unfortunately for fans (and Canelo's legacy) he refused to repeat the "fight of the year". Interesting that you think victories over Fielding, Jacobs and Kovalev, signify that Alvarez is improving as a fighter. I see it more as following the Mayweather blueprint of good match making and low risk fights.

B-. He beat Canelo but had alot of Iffy fights.

If u feel like he was elite then it was disappointing.

If you feel like he was a bum then he overachieved.

like I said earlier... around B- seems to be the general consensus among non-***wit observers

I guess it is relative to expectations for me...Canelo seems to be improving imho, but I agree that he is also obviously following the Super-A side blueprint that Floyd set...it sucks, but it is what it is.

Canelo's boxing ability vs Jacobs surprised me...though I had it 7-5 to Canelo so nothing too great...and his power vs Kovalev surprised...though we know Kov is a bit washed and while I didn't score the fight, I did feel that Kov was controlling most of the rounds.

So yeah there is stuff to critique about him as well...I felt he still lost fight 2 to GGG pretty clearly, but he did hold the center of the ring very well in that fight which was very surprising.

Some pros and cons for him I guess...interested to see what his next few fights will bring...GGG's next few as well will be interesting...hopefully he still has another few very good performances in him.

                  .
Yeah, this is pretty much as good and succint a way to summarize Golovkin's run as I've seen. B- feels about right with pure resume about a C for me (maybe less if you're just dead set on going glass half empty on all things GGG) with everything else a strong B/B+.

it is funny to watch you fanboys get tarred and feathered by your own comments

hey, this is a prime opportunity for you to tell us your story again...

your story... about how Golovkin has faced more quality opponents that nearly every other fighter in history
