I thought Jermell was hurt...sometimes, in the process of pummeling an opponent, a guy will injure a hand. They'll protect the injury by easing off the accelerator.
That's what I thought was going on after round two, when Harrison was walking him down and having his way inside.
Harrison was piling on points, and had eliminated the deficit from the knockdown by mid-fight. By the 11th Harrison was not only winning the fight, but by a big margin.
If this was some kind of gameplan? On the part of Jermell's team, to let Harrison dominate inside? It was obviously the WRONG gameplan!
If Jermell doesnt get the knockout, and it goes to the judging, he's lost this fight! In my eyes, not the judges, who apparently were feeling the pressure from the outrage of the first fight, and were giving Jermell rounds out of GUILT!
Team Jermell then decides, its the championship rounds, lets fight ! He gets him out of there! He obviously would have done that MUCH earlier, had he kept the pressure on after the second round!
It was just a strange gameplan...guys got a glass chin, you've already dropped him, finish it!
