Arslanbek Makhmudov vs Filip Hrgovic?

Makhmudov starched Samuel Peter in one round tonight in Montreal and Hrgovic stopped Molina in 3.

Now obviously I'm no matchmaker but I wanna see these two lumbering lummoxes square off sometime in the near future. Maybe I'm impatient but just my thoughts.

Barring any of that, discuss possible opponents for each fighter.

Yeah can't see many people lining up to fight him. But like Hrgovic they're both pretty slowish and one dimensional looking for that big right hand. Makmudov does have that cazy signature uppercut though knocking mouthguards 20 feet into the air.

I wanna see these guys step up soon and mix it up with the higher level guys though or just each other for the pure novelty of it like Gorman/Dubois did. And by that I'm only comparing the unbeaten prospects facing off instead of knocking over cans.

From what I've seen, Makhmudov is much faster than Hrgovic. If they were to fight next, I'd favor Makh. I'm actually surprised by his hand speed and punch mechanics. Makh is going to be a force in the next few years.

I hope they bring him up not fighting cans but he’s a little rough around the edges
Hrgovic just doesn’t convince me and damn is he fughin slow
Not sure they would want to put Hrgovic against Mak
To much risk not enough reward

Yeah it makes no sense business wise, I just think putting two beastly puncher prospects together is good for the fans, not that these guys have legions of them though.

They each just beat contender/title challenger and ancient ex champ so what's a realistic step up for them you think?

I even think Molina would be a good stepping stone ( I know he just fought )
I’d go with a couple like that , not soft touches but more where they need to adapt
I think he’d be green for Arreola right now
Build him up and then put him in with Stiverne at the Bell
I find eott does a horrible job promoting these fights and fighters

Yeah Mahkmudov should be ready for the Duahpas, Szpilka, Takam, Molina etc. type level guys but he probably would do well with a new promoter and fighting outside of Canada.

It seems like boxing in Montreal needs a little shot in the arm of some kind. Now that Beterbiev is getting more attention maybe they'll make a big fight at the Bell after his defense in China? Didn't Arum claim he doens't sell in Montreal or something though. Honestly I don't know much about the scene over there but I like to sponge up as much as I can.

Oh damn I just heard Makmudov is calling out Deontay Wilder and they made him a $20 mil offer. Even if its just to get his name out there and get some hype around him I'm all for it.
