I wouldn't call it a great achievement not being knocked down by Kauffman.
And who's on Andy resume prior to fighting Joshua? It not like Ruiz resume is a murderers row. The point is that every man that Wilder has faced has gone down, I don't see how Ruiz would be any different considering that Ortiz is a better boxer than Ruiz.

i agreed... i dont think the rematch will be any different. reason why is because ruiz won by stoppage. if it was a decision win, then i can see the rematch going to aj but since ruiz stopped aj, that tells me that ruiz has the power to hurt aj, rematch will be the same outcome. fight might go on longer this time but i still have ruiz as the winner.

        Ruiz fights nothing like Ortiz.

Ortiz is not by any means a pressure fighter, he is a technically excellent boxer puncher with one gear, a great chin, and power to spare.

There is a reason why Ortiz was dropped... Wilder could pick and choose his spots. Now...this is an opinion: I don't think Ortiz did much of anything to Wilder... I frankly doubt those crooked judges would have had the scores they claimed, when Ortiz was KO'ed. In other words, Ortiz did nothing to scare, or make Wilder hesitate. Thats a very important consideration.

Compare Ruiz when he attacks AJ at every turn. When he pressures AJ makes him go back and cover up. How will Wilder deal with this pressure? He may be so incredible that he uncorks again, or he may be exposed. it should be an interesting match.
Just because Ruiz is a pressure fighter doesn't mean he won't get hit. I just rewatched the Ruiz/Parker fight last night and Parker was able to tag Ruiz with clean right hands several times despite the pressure Ruiz applied.

Heck, in round 5 of the Joshua/Ruiz fight (2 rounds after he dropped Joshua) AJ was able to tag Ruiz with the right hand despite the pressure.

With Ruiz style, there is no way he is going 12 without eating a right hand from Deontay Wilder.

Wilder hits harder than AJ and if AJ was able to drop Ruiz, there no way that Wilder won't be able to do the same.

Nah...Rahman KO Lewis in the first fight and Lewis KO him in the rematch.

Joshua got hurt by a temple shot and still fought on for 4 more rounds...AJ can win the rematch if he makes the proper adjustment.

Its not getting hit that kills you...Its getting hit when a puncher is set. Good pressure fighters know how to operate so when getting tagged the punch loses momentum.

I would refer you to the Holly Tyson fight series. Tyson could hit Holly plenty, but he was usually unbalanced by Holly while, so doing.

Your thinking is off on Ruiz and AJ... AJ was pressured while hitting AJ and this made a difference in how hard he could tag Ruiz. Regarding Parker... A much more mobile fighter, not a threat as a big puncher.

Ruiz is not going 12 round without Wilder landing his money punch. Ruiz would not be the first pressure fighter Deontay has faced...he faced his share, his money punch will land.

FYI, when Joshua landed on him in the 5th and when Parker would land, it would be the times when Ruiz would do nothing but just come forward...no jab, no nothing and then stop.

Tell me about these "pressure fighters" Wilder faced. Tell me about such a fighter half as good as Ruiz. he faced one guy who, is such a type of fighter and he was past it and took the fight short notice... and that would be Chris Areolla. So no he has not faced a decent pressure fighter on the level of Ruiz.

And your second point about Parker does not work that way. I doubt you took a mental account of every time parker landed and every time ruiz would not do anything lol, besides Parker is a different type of fighter, and styles make fights.

                      The Parker analog works.

Washington Szpilka, Areolla, Duhaupas, and Molina all applied pressure...and I never said that they were as good as Ruiz but they applied pressure with some success but in the end, Wilder landed.

Fury and Ortiz are both better boxers than Ruiz as well as better defensively than Ruiz and Wilder still dropped them.

My point being is that pressure fighter get hit because there will be return fire and the two elite fighter that Ruiz faced landed on him (one dropped him).

If for nothing else, at the age of 34, Wilder knows how to land his money punch ( as seen against the defensively minded Fury & Ortiz)...Ruiz may not be KOed but he will get dropped.
