    Teddy Atlas is overrated

The guy always think he is in a Rocky movie he wasn't giving any clear instructions just some motivational talk he probably rehearse for the TV camera

Dude should just stick with commentary and podcast imo

I think Gvozdyk's only issue was his stamina and mental fortitude, trying to instill beleif and motivation felt like the right choice to me? He wasn't boxing badly, granted that whipping straight and hook to the body was bothering him towards the end but if he could have gathered himself and kept throwing those straights, I think he could have continued and even turned the decision over.

He is. But he's not bad either. And they fit together perfectly, which is rather rare.

His face matches his voice and neither are pleasant.

Teddy is great and one of the last dinosaurs

You can’t give no advice to a fighter that’s scared

Just some firemen stuff that’s it

I rewatched the fight a couple times. Beterbiev is a beast but Gvozdyk was underprepared. When he traded artilery with Beterbiev he actually did well. His right hand was longer and sharper and Beterbiev left himself open. But Gvozdyk kept jabbing inaccurately and getting countered, and kept throwing prerehearsed combinations at random times. He didn't know what punch to throw at what time. And he didn't bend his legs enough to get under Beterbiev's neck control.

In talent these are two equal boxers, but had a clear plan of what he needed to do to win in different situations in the fight, Gvozdyk did not. It's 20/20 hindsight but with the way Gvozdyk's chin held up so well, he should have taken the fight to Beterbiev and pushed him back all night. Would have made for a much better fight too. He fought apprehensively. Maybe Teddy built up the power too much in his mind. "You can't make a single mistake!" That turned out to be bull****. Had he pressed the issue and kept the right hand coming at full force all night, he would have won.
