stuff like this usually helps everyone come to their senses regarding who should be in the ring, present at press conferences, in a fighter's corner, etc. happens every few years. and then for some reason these guys are still always hanging around. i remember rid**** bowe's "team" used to fight at the drop of a hat at every f#cking bowe fight. they knocked the fan man unconscious and broke his back IIRC.

Agreed, you'd be correct for wording it as such (guilt by association). However, somebody's gonna be held liable for this incident...more than likely it'll be her.

If she isn't held liable in a criminal manner, it'll be a civil matter for sure. You gotta think how the court system thinks when it comes to stuff like this.

The whole thing started when Shields's sister and Bashir exchanged words and threats. We've seen this before. Then, her brother sucker punches him and now he's fighting for his life.

In addition, her brother's a convicted felon on parole....Shields should know exactly how to deal with him and hopefully she's made it clear that he needs to be on his best behavior in life, period...not just at her events.

Now she's $350k+ in the hole because of him and he's been arrested and going back to what he knows best.

Fighters have to also be cynical about their business and Shields left this stone unturned, unfortunately.

We say we can't control the actions of others, but, she knows her family is poor and high strung, so why not stay on top of them if she wishes to keep them around?

Bro, I’m reformed from being hood in my teens and early 20s but we sometimes forget we are responsible for us and not others. Grown people are responsible for their actions, she shouldn’t have to control her brother, he should be adult enough to control himself knowing he is messing with his sisters well being. The whole situation sucks and is tragic but you don’t choose your family, I wish we did, I have a few I’d trade right now.
