New York - Gennadiy "GGG" Golovkin (39-1-1, 35 KO'S) and Canelo Alvarez will forever be linked for their two controversial fights. Both fighters signed lucrative deals with streaming service DAZN and were pegged to fight each other in September, but the talks fell apart. Canelo (52-1-2, 35 KO's) then turned his eyes to his IBF Middleweight title mandatory defense against Sergey Derevyanchenko (13-1,10 KO's). That fight fell apart as well, and Canelo was stripped of the title.
