So Ruiz is a Haymon fight. What happens if

He doesn't give Joshua the rematch or what if he tries to have a fight in between the rematch?

Pretty sure he gets stripped of 2 of 3 titles if he refuses the rematch. If he takes the rematch, likely only gets stripped by 1 of 3

His next fight is contracted with Joshua unless Joshua says no

You basically get sued for a lot of money

Joshua can sue for loss of earnings

      So 30m ish

I’m sure there would be more issues as well, loss of potential future earnings

I love how the Haymon crew are like, get sued but don’t give Joshua the rematch as are the ldbc community

They think this was a Douglas moment

I think it maybe was not, rematch is 50/50 imo

Don't know why the hell Ruiz wouldn't take the rematch. It'll be a massive payday against a guy he already destroyed.

I'm more worried about AJ and his people not wanting the rematch.

Aj has no Choice but to take it

Without his belts, he loses a ton of his sponsors imo

          Also he loses all credibility

Ruiz is contractually obliged to the rematch.

He should be delighted, he will make a fortune in a fight where it looks like he has AJ’s number.

This^^^^^^. I personally don't think they would, am sure Hearn would want him to, but i don't think his management team would.

Ruiz stands to make 10 times his normal pay in a rematch, no one else is going to pay him that. No way is he avoiding a rematch. And if he tries to then he would go through the same thing that Hasim Rahman did with Lewis.

Yeah I don’t know who turns down a rematch against a guy you won every round against, knocked down 4 times and get to take 5x the money

He'd likely get sat til it gets legally worked out. He's basically linked with Matchroom right now not just a rematch so if Joshua calls on the rematch & Ruiz says he won't do it & tries to fight someone else Eddie would likely get an injunction to stop any fight Ruiz tried to make without Matchroom.

So basically Ruiz would be ****** to try it cuz it likely just ends up f#cking up his money & results in him spending money on legal fees. And he could just take what is likely to be his career best payday & be a likely favorite to put another beating on Joshua. Seems like a lot of trouble, time & financial risk to go through to combat that ***y situation.
