After the last KD, AJ goes over to the ropes, which is legal. Ref asks him if he wants to continue. AJ clearly says YES and nods his head. Ref hesitates, and asks him again. Again, Aj nods his head and says YEA, while making eye contact with ref. Ref hesitates again, and waves the fight off, and AJ looks confused.

AJ never once shook his head, or say no, or say "I quit". He nodded his head every time the ref asked him if he could box on. Having his hand on the ropes does not equal quitting.

And I didn't hear the ref tell AJ to walk towards him though I may be wrong on that.

Where exactly did he "quit"????

You don't have to say "no mas" to make it clear you don't want to continue.

But, I'm not sure he did quit. I thought he did when I watched it live, but I'm now leaning towards him being confused and not really understanding what was going on. He just seemed to forget that the referee can't allow him as much time as he wants.

He didn't come out of the corner. He still had his hands on the ropes after he said he wanted to continue and just stood there.

He should of took his hands off the ropes. Im not too sure he was thinking straight but he didnt really make the moves of a fighter that was ready to continue. To be fair he was only going straight back to the ground had he continued, he was done, seriously done, he had nothing left what so ever it took all he was worth just staying on his feet.

I hate to make excuses but im still convinced there was something not right with Joshua last night, before the fight even started. But if he takes a big shot it just seems to empty his batteries instantly. He is bad, real bad at recovery.

AJ looked at the referee and clearly said twice that YES he wants to continue while looking at the ref.
