Well, it's possible, but we don't even know for sure what the real problem (or even problems) is. Yarde was promised a lot of money (allegedly from 4 to 5 million dollars) for this fight, which a Russian oligarch (Igor Altushkin, most probably) was supposed to pay. Maybe he's having second thoughts about it...

      That’s a lot of money
Especially to give to a greenhorn
He hasn’t fought anyone elite or remotely close to it
No chit he’s willing to go to Russia

Also, Kovalev is still not enrolled in Vada and the Yarde camp usually demands 12 weeks of full Vada testing.
Kovalev and McGirt are both in Russia presently.

Announcement will probably be made soon. Maybe the point is to fill the arena with Russian fans?

No date and venue confirmed yet....

Looking into the future i see Yarde fighting for a vacant title. Must be something to do with Kovs lawsuit

Well, Hassan N'Dam had been training to fight Golovkin... That's what boxers do: they train and they fight.

You make these predictions and bets and you are usually wrong. Kovalev is a damn good light heavyweight champion with many KO wins and his chin is decent. I believe he will be the one KOing Yarde.

I would have agreed immediately after the first Alvarez fight but in the rematch Kovalev showed that he isn't done quite yet. If he fights smart again, Yarde may be in for a long painful introduction into the big leagues.

I like Yarde but he wouldn't win the British title so he shouldn't really be mandatory for a world title.

WBO rankings are an utter joke and make a mockery of the sport IMO.

                    Won't be the first time.
