I think Shields will clean up her offense a bit this time around cuz Hammer is very smart and will counter her with jabs or uppercuts if she comes in with no defense!

I think Shields is faster and more dynamic but Hammer has a better jab and throws more technical punches!

It’ll be interesting to see who’s style will overcome the others but I’m going with Shields’ recognizing she needs to tune up her technique with her punches and that her key to victory is good body shots!

fight was originally wrongly ruled a dq, ref clearly says "stop" after the last punch is landed. it is a big punch though landed with significant force

if it goes the distance i slightly edge hammer but i can't get past that ko so i am actually slightly edging shields by ko as my final prediction

This is going to be a pretty hype girl fight. I don't think Hammer is coming to lay down. Shields, inside 4 rds. I don't see this going the distance because Hammer is likely not trying to win a decision.

Holy shyte! Hammer has a skull made of china. I didn't know she was this soft. That was a legit KO.

I'm not impressed with female fighters. Katie Taylor looks like the best of the bunch but she has no competition. I hate the women's 2 minute rounds format. Seeing how easily Hammer got KO'd doesn't give much promise of this being a competitive fight, although Shields doesn't appear to be much of a puncher....I guess you never know what can happen in boxing.
