He is an unusual mixture of sloppiness, wild looping punches mixed in with some perfectly thrown very hard fast jabs, straight rights and left hooks.

He's an embarrassment to the sport. He makes it appear that any skill less guy with a big punch can walk in off the street and win a title.

LOL yea he's unique as f#ck like that. I definitely can't think of a guy who's as unskilled, but effective due to his power or anything close to that on the level he's made it at. When history is written on Wilder he's gonna be seen as a massive overachiever.

              All praise to Mark Breland.

I say unique; at this moment I can't point to any boxer in all the other weight divisions that fights like and has similar power to Wilder

He gives up weight. skills. in every single fight.

                  yet he wins by KO.

he has got to be the hardest puncher to ever put on boxing gloves. there has never been a boxer as unskilled as Deontay.

It does take some kind of skill to be able to sneak that right hand in like Wilder always does. There are a lot of people who could wind up and hit a heavy bag about as hard as Wilder, but wouldn't have a shot in the world at landing it against a solid pro heavyweight.
