Im not sure I agree with Hearn that he has more bargaining power based off of the Wilder/Fury fight. If anything, Wilder has the additional option to rematch Fury and still make a lucrative earning. The fact it was a controversial decision and the amount of drama involved creates a desire to see it again . I have alot of friends who are casual fans talking about the fight and the knockdown.
It's possible that Wilder's team feels like they may want that AJ shot now, because they realize a rematch (and loss) to Fury could jeopardize the big payday. Hearn also probably feels he has to make a fight with either Wilder or Fury for April or risk losing momentum and buzz with a comparitively subpar opponent . Hearn may think Finkel and Haymon preferable negotiating partners to Warren and may feel Deontay is a more ideal opponent for AJ.
