That is factually incorrect. Out of the ten remaining rounds where there were no knockdowns; Tyson Fury would have needed to win at least nine of them which would have given him a 114-113 score that he did not get on at least two of the three official scorecards. One judge had Tyson Fury winning only eight of those ten remaining rounds which resulted in a draw.
I give up, not only have I told you several times, but someone has actually scored it out for you on the previous page.
When Fury deck in the twelfth, I thought he was sleep. Even as a Wilder fan, I was a little bummed for Fury in that moment. I was thinking it kinda sux to put on that good a performance and have it snatched away from him with one shot.
Something about the way Fury went down/got up made me think that he was playing possum. Gotta give it to him for keeping his composure with Wilder's chaotic rally raining down on him.
I'm not sure if Wilder should be pushing for a Fury rematch. Maybe he should go after an Ortiz rematch; it's also risky, but at least he knows he can beat Ortiz. Thing is, Ortiz has proven that he can hurt Wilder. Maybe Wilder takes a softer touch next?
No, you are almost right. Wilder with the two knockdowns would have only needed two rounds which he got that made the score even in terms of rounds 6-6.
I WAS SCREAMING when that double punch canvas ****ing knockdown happened in the 12th round!!!!
Then I looked at the screen and SOMEHOW the fight was still going on and Fury was still fighting. How the hell did he get up from that hellacious shot!!!
I hated what I was seeing up to that knock down because I had Fury winning the fight and felt he did enough to win ESPECIALLY after nearly knocking Wilder out!!!
GREAT GREAT FIGHT!!! Fury's got serious skills!! Wilder is the BOMB!!!
THE REMATCH WILL BE EPIC!!!! And I still want Wilder to win, but I would favor Fury!!!
Might be but AJ is prone to start slow and brain farts as he showed with Povotkin and Klitchko. And Wilder showed that it takes one punch. And I prefer AJ over Wilder too. Just keeping it 100
AJ isn’t as good defensively as Fury, but he’s better than Wilder. I think he’s a better counterpuncher than Fury. Fury made Wilder miss a lot, but rarely made him pay. Not to mention than Wilder ain’t exactly tough to touch from a distance. And Wilder isn’t walking through what AJ is gonna hit him with.
And something that isn’t gonna get much mention is Wilder’s lack of size. Wilder has a good chin. But he was getting hit by a guy that outweighed him 50lbs. And I thought Wilder was stunned a couple times. And Fury can’t punch.
You don't get extra points for knocking opponents down "hard"...
You also don't get extra points by only moving and not doing damage. Wilder did the damage this fight don't get confused by my praise of fury's defense.
How do you guys think they fare against Joshua after watching them tonight?
Fury probably boxes his ears off as long as, again he doesnt get caught. I think there is a good chance Joshua rag dolls Wilder and beats him up.
Wilder is probably the worst HW champion who has held on to a belt past his first defense in the history of the sport, technically I mean. The thing is he carries a bazooka in that right hand so he is never out of it as tonight proved.
