Sulecki started off great and then Jacobs took over the middle rounds.

Sulecki came back in rounds 9, 10 and 11.

Had he won Round 12, it would have been a draw on my scorecard.

Credit to Jacobs for winning Round 12 big with the KD.

Having said that, Jacobs is clearly no longer a Top 5 Middleweight and is at the back of the que for fighting GGG...he had his shot and lost!

    1. GGG
    2. Canelo
    3. Billy Joe Saunders
    4. Jermall Charlo
    5. Demetrius Andrade
    6. Sergiy Derevyanchenko
    7. Ryota Murata
    8. Daniel Jacobs

I agree with most of that but I dont see any reason (beyond official mandos) that Jacobs should be behind Charlo and Derev. I mean Jacobs has fought some average fighters at best but charlo is scraping the sc****d part of a barrel.

The list wasn't so much an order of ranking but in terms of who deserves a shot of GGG first.

Jacobs had his shot at GGG and even though he made it a close fight, close isn't good enough!

I would prefer to see GGG face different styles like Saunders, Charlo, Andrade, Derevyanchenko and Murata first before Jacobs.

As for Canelo rematch, that makes sense as much for it selling 1 Million PPV's.

At this stage, Jacobs brings NOTHING to the table and as we'll see from his HBO viewership for the Sulecki, he doesn't even bring in good numbers.

Yeah fair enough. If no Canleo, I would have loved GGG to postpone till the summer and face BJS (who I'll go on the record for and say beats Canelo, I've said that for a while now).

Jacobs failed to make a statement and rematch talk seems to have died instantly.

Sulecki boxed well, he was better than expected, could be you just scored for him because he impressed you more based on you expecting a one sided Jacobs win?

I think Jacobs is overrated, because his best accomplishment is surviving against GGG. I don't think he won that fight. After listening to the HBO commentary during last nights fight, Jacobs might be the most massively overrated boxer right now. The slobbering over Jacobs nuts by the HBO crew was even more severe than the British crew over Joshua.
But lol at Sulecki being robbed, even Sulecki knew he lost, he was already clapping for Jacobs as the scores were being read.

i was ringside last night and i have very close ties with danny jacobs. with that being said, i too believe this was a much closer fight than two of the judges had it. Dont get me wrong, i had danny winning but when they read the judges scorecards i was actually very surprised they had jacobs that far ahead.

i gotta give credit where credit is due and i give sulecki a ton of credit! that boy can fight!!!

i hope this is a case of sulecki being a very good fighter and not a case of jacobs best years being behind him.

After last night, I'm wondering if I'm guilty of this. I was pretty sure before that Jacobs would ruin Charlo, now not so sure.
