I think Spence might win because he is a big welterweight. I think they are both great fighters but Pacquiao's best fighting weight is probably 135 or 140 tops. Spence is at least 10 pounds bigger naturally and would out weigh Pacquiao by 10 pounds or more on fight night with both boxers in top shape and lean. When two boxers are close in ability but one boxers is bigger by 10 pounds or more that could be the advantage the equally good but bigger boxer needs to win. Spence hits harder and takes a punch better and that could more than make up for Pacquiao's speed advantage. Spence is fast himself and a smart boxer. I think Spence could beat anyone Pacquiao beat and maybe beat them a little quicker. I see a fight between them being a real war with Spence's advantages in strength, punching power and punch resistance giving him a ud or possibly a KO. Spence KOs almost everyone he fights and at welterweight even the prime Pacquiao did not KO everyone. I think Spence would have KOed the same Clottey and Margarito that Pacquiao failed to KOed. Their skills are close and maybe Pacquiao is better pfp but that 10 or more pounds natural lean body weight tip the scales in Spence's favor.
Why do you people keep on parroting this myth? Pacquiao wasn't walking through any of Margo, Cotto, Mosley's shots, even back then in the featherweights, he was using upperbody movement to make them miss, he uses catch and block defense with his upper body movement, he doesn't TAKE punches that much.
I misspelled a word. I meant to write threw punches in bunches. Not walked through punches. There is no myth about the fact that Pac threw a lot of punches from varying angles.
Yeah I'm inclined to agree. Spence would have big advantages in the natural size and natural blackness categories. Prime Manny was a phenom but one of the biggest flaws in his repertoire was his lack of blackness, and in fact one could probably argue that he had no blackness in his skill set whatsoever.
Not to mention Spence also blows Manny away in the nipple department, too.
