There are elements of sarcasm but for the most part, I'm being genuine. Boxers like Alexander Povetkin and David Haye are blown up light heavyweights / cruiser weights. As such, they are FAKE heavyweights by modern standard. Therefore, they pose 0 threat to REAL heavyweights like Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Klitschkos or Tyson Fury.

Alexander Povetkin poses pretty much 0 threat to Anthony Joshua. Povetkin is naturally a light heavyweight / cruiser weight without his additional / extra unnecessary body weight consisting of mainly fat. Alexander Povetkin competing at heavyweight is like Andre Ward or Sergey Kovalev competing at heavyweight with 30 pounds of extra fat.

Alexander Povetkin was able to be competitive at heavyweight as a fat man and as an unnatural heavyweight through performance enhancing drugs. With those removed, Povetkin has practically 0% chance of beating REAL heavyweights like Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. Povetkin is like an irrelevant insect that REAL heavyweights like Joshua and Wilder can swat away like as if he was a fly.

This is an utter mismatch of the highest order and FAKE heavyweights like Povetkin aren't credible opponents to REAL heavyweights like Anthony Joshua. For the sake of health and safety of boxers, such mismatches must be condemned, prevented and discouraged.

He has 20 - 30 pounds of unnecessary body fat which if he removes, he will become a light heavyweight or maximum cruiser weight.

Povetkin's body isn't big enough to be anything more than a minor nuisance to REAL and NATURAL heavyweights like Anthony Joshua who could probably walk right through all of Povetkin's weak light heavyweight punches. Povetkin's punches don't belong in the heavyweight division! Nor does his body!

With such a ridiculous size disadvantage, he puts his life and body at permanent risk that could lead to permanent physical / mental damage or life span being shortened if he faces Anthony Joshua and gets hit by Joshua's super heavyweight powered punches.

Anthony Joshua won every round against Carlos Takam and was on the verge of knocking Takam out even more brutally than Povetkin did and inflicted greater visible damage on Takam than Povetkin did, all with fewer punches.

Interesting theory I understood part of your idea but size doesn't truly matter if a boxer is shorter or physically smaller look at Mike tyson at heavyweight. Also Joshua has been hurt and dropped by a smaller lighter punching version of povetkin called mihai nistor. Granted this the amatuers but pov is an experienced pro with the right style to replicate the nistor fight although the present day aj represents a stronger challenge albeit a not entirely unbeatable one.

It's clear to any knowledgeable fans of boxing like us that povetkin poses a great risk to aj. the real issue is povetkins form diminishing between now and the aj fight he has slowed but in his last fight the snap was on those punches he missed would of koed if they landed. He's probably one of the few fighters that's ajs fought who wouldn't be intimidated those Russians are tough as arse holes and povetkins got the technique and skill to pose a few problems to aj
