Which do you think is worse: clinching or running?

    Especially if done excessively.

I define 'running' as creating distance without attacking. In other words, putting one's self in a position / distance so that they can't get hit by their opponent, but they can't also land any punches on their opponent as well.

I like a good slick fighter but their comes a point if there is too much moving or clinching.that it becomes negative fightin(fury vs parker, dirrell vs froch)and two of my favs are Mayweather, sweet pea

Running. Complete non-combative posture that not only shames the one running, but boxing as a whole. This is not the amateurs, this is not the Olympics...Something Lara’s ppl should tell him.

            Clinching by a country mile.

As bad as it can get sometimes, I feel like if you are "running" you're at least demonstrating some level of athletic superiority (agility or footspeed), and if the other guy can anticipate your movements (ie. superior tactics) he can cut off the ring.

There's no equivalent counter to clinching, you literally just wait there until the ref breaks you up. **** is the worst

Clinching. It disrupts the flow of a fight and usually reduces punch output severely.

Runners can be caught by skilled attackers.

Running is definitely worse. At least with clinching, you're prepared to potentially take a bit of dirty boxing, and for there to be a quick re-engagement after break-up.

With runners, they just simply don't want to fight. Case in point, Hughie Fury - who left a trail of flap juices all over the ring against Parker.

Running would be worse, but you never see that happen very often is the thing. Hell most of the time people are accused of running its just a boxer creating distance to get his punches off better & using the tactic of deciding where the fight takes place at.

Clinching on the other hand happens way too much as is so ultimately I think its the bigger evil even if running looks worse.
