World boxing's crisis-hit governing body AIBA has appointed Franco Falconelli as its acting interim president in place of the suspended Wu Ching-kuo. Wu was suspended on Wednesday by AIBA's disciplinary commission in the wake of allegations of financial mismanagement, and following a protracted court battle between rival factions.
