The NSAC has been wanting to move the weigh ins to ealier for a while now. They started with UFC events last year. Talking corruption is laughable.
Golovkin and Canelo don't have to weigh in the day of. If they want the IBF title they do. It's their choice.

This is no different. I'm not "shook" that Canelo would beat GGG on an even playing field, but I am worried about an even playing field. If enough advantages are stacked up in favor of the inferior fighter, like 1. the ref, 2. judges, 3. changed weigh-in time, 4. the opponent has to weigh in twice, 5. age, then yes, sometimes five significant advantages stacked up in favor of the inferior fighter can be enough to tip the scales so that the inferior fighter can at least make it close, and then the judges can give it to him.
What kind of fan are you anyway? Clearly not a boxing fan, or a Golovkin fan. All I'm interested in is a fair playing field.
If you're scared of a fair playing field, then you're the one that's shook Canelo can't beat GGG, not me.

There is no second day IBF weigh-in if a WBC, WBA or WBO world championship is also at stake. GGG doesn't have to worry about the second day weigh-ins anymore.
So it is true that the same day weigh in is even not required for this fight.
I was wondering why Abel Sanchez mentioned Canelo and G having to weigh in the morning of the fight in a video last night.
It was mentioned that since Triple G had all the titles that it wasn't considered a unification so the same day weigh in had to occur.
But I wonder how does a unified champ figure into this?
I could have sworn though that the IBF stated that the same day weigh in is only for when just the IBF title is at stake with no other titles?
It's confusing.

Okay, we need to get the understanding of the changing of the IBF's rule for second day weigh-ins understood.
I know what it says in their rules. But we need to find out how a Unified champion who has the belts figures into this equation and if that also qualifies in unification.
If a WBA, WBC or WBO championship is also at stake with the IBF does that also nullify second day weigh in. Does a unified champion also count for unification. This is what we need to find out.
