Comments Thread For: Former Sparring Partner Admits McGregor Was Not Hard To Hit

Conor McGregor should rely on the skills that have made him a two-weight UFC champ and not try to out-box Floyd Mayweather when the two clash in Las Vegas on Saturday, former sparring partner Steve Collins Jr. The Irish mixed martial arts fighter turned up at the Dublin gym run by Collins Jnr's uncle Paschal about two years ago looking to hone his boxing skills, and the 27-year-old light heavyweight was happy to go toe to toe with him.

But Paulie had a hard time and he apparently made Conor look like Sugar Ray Leonard.

Therefore, former sparring partner > Paulie.

Didn't realize he was sparring with Steve Collins Jr.

But yea he don't seem hard to hit, MMA guys aren't judged defensively + the lil ass gloves limit what you can do defensively so not surprised.

That said I still say Conor can punch good himself so gonna have to be careful with that.

The emerging consensus send to be that Conor has some boxing ability, but that his "awkwardness"/not knowing what he's doing leaves him open to get savaged by someone who does know what they're doing.

Fight night is only a handful of days away

The sooner this farce is over the sooner we can get back to real matchups.

If Connor really wants to be successful on Saturday he has to learn the five D's: Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive and Dodge! Lol hahahaha

He's going to walk through Floyd's punches. His D is a hard head.

Floyd better not get over confident and leave himself open like Anderson Silva did once against Chris Weidman lol... Floyd should have a fairly easy evening but if he makes a costly mistake and Connor catches him with a good night punch, it could ruin the way boxing is viewed and casual fans will then see mma as a better option for combat sports and boxing will be doomed!!!!!!

CONOR WILL EAT FLOYDS BEST SHOTS CLEAN, run thru them and KO him. Mark my words. EASY FIGHT for Conor. He will truck right thru Floyd.
