There is no way Mayweather vs. McGregor fails it will do 5.5 to 8.5 million ppv buys

Look how hard they are spending on promotion by ufc and showtime, also espn and fox sports talk about the fight daily. Fight week they will hype it up to astronomical proportions, because dana white is the king of hype he likes making the casuals believe things and buy into hype, he made conor a star and ronda.

There is no way this fight fails on ppv, celebs, casuals who are trendy and followers will buy it because its popular and talked about.

The fight will do at least 5.5 milllion ppv buys, i see it doing at most 8.5 million buys.

There is no way this fight doesnt break the record, look at all the prefight promotions and hype, compare that to the little promotion they did for may vs pacquiao, and that fight did 4.6 million buys. This fight will easily break that record no question and no doubt at all, its already 100 percent fact that it will break the record.

Some clowns saying the fight is going to fail lmao, just stop there is 300 million people in america and many of them are casuals and casuals are the demographic that drives the ppv market records, not hardcores. The fight is a joke spectacle but casuals eat this freakshow stuff up out of curiosity.

What would be a considered a failure? Under 3 million buys?

If this fight doesn't hit the 2M mark it's a failure in my opinion

Lol there is no way it does that low, dana white, and several others have said the fight is going to be bigger than may vs pac much bigger and will break records. Dana white said mcgregor is a bigger global star and name thsn pacquiao, he used instagram followers to prove his point, conor has like 20 million followers and pacquiao only has 500 thousand followers.

The venue itself hasn't even sold out yet. I'm guessing it goes for 2.5 - 3 million PPV sales. Floyd burned the fans too many times before, and its getting easier to find free ways to stream fights now, which cuts into sales. Especially at $100 a pop. Most of the buys will come from delusional MMA fans who think Conor has a prayer.

Naaaa...lol. I don't see how it can surpass May-Pac. It would surprise me if it matches May-DLH or May-Canelo. Do you know how many people will stream this?

The numbers you're predicting would probably happen if this was a UFC fight between Mayweather-McGregor.

People need to buy actual tickets first. Last report said it still wasn't at capacity. They might reduce numbers and sell out the venue though, which has happened before.

All they do is cover the top tier seats as required and relocate the ticket holders to better seats that are still available.

                  3m buys + 8m streams
