He's in for a rude awakening. Hope he gasses out and takes serious damage.

First of all, McGregor isn't a wrestler. Secondly, anyone that has done boxing and wrestling knows that stamina is needed for both arts/sports. The same holds for all combat sports...fatigue equals failure. McGregor will never have Mayweather's stamina and McGregor will never have great stamina. His style is rooted in him throwing high impact power punches which uses a lot of energy. His team has developed his strength to minimize his stamina weakness. Expect Mayweather to exploit it by taking him to deep water.

This was a brilliant move by Floyd, pick a fight with the biggest name in combat sports. Proclaim the public wanted it when that was clearly a lie. He needs the money and is taking the easy way to the bank. Just like he went after Berto, this check will be easier to cash. He would struggle to beat and make the same money fighting Charlo, Terrance Crawford, possibly even Thurman at this point in his career.

Mcgregor going to follow Maidana's blueprint...He'll end up looking like Peter Mcneely.

          4 or 5 rounds tops!!!

The topic was probably brought up because his conditioning is very questionable in MMA, and now he goes straight into a 12 round fight...good luck with that...

It must be why his team said that he is doing a ton of rounds in sparring.

This won't end well. By the 5th round he'll be in deep water, even if Mayweather carries him.

I wrestled through junior high and high school. Ive also boxed. Boxing is harder. They both require good anaerobic and aerobic fitness, but boxing is just a different in its stamina demands.

You can have an incredibly fit person who will gas out in 4 rounds or so. I've seen it many times... People come into the boxing gym, head held high thinking it will be easy because they "workout all the time". Half way through a session they're sucking all the oxygen out the room while in a ball on the floor. Different sports require different types of stamina. I don't see McGregor doing the full 12 while moving on two legs. 6-7 rounds he'll gas.

It's one thing to physically be able to go 12 rounds at your own pace, but Floyd will be in there dictating where he moves and what he does. He'll also be missing a lot. Also if he gets figured out over 12 rounds he'll be eating a ton of shots. Going the entire 12 is as much about the mental part as it is physical. If he doesn't reload his gameplan over the rounds he'll be in trouble. That's something guys work ages at doing. Even Loma with almost 400 amateur fights had problems his first 12 round match.
