I think Ward may have stopped a gassing Kovalev without repeated low blows but the way this stoppage happened is not much to be proud of. I know that in the moment I was amazed at what looked like a sequence of three very low shots leading to a fight ending, off the back of low shots earlier in the round.

Ward fans, how do you defend this?

Also some of you need your eyes checked if you think the gif punch in the original post hit the belt line. The impact was on the hublot B which is certainly not on the belt line.

Tony Weeks needs investigated imo... I think he clearly takes bribes. 1st the Mayweather vs Maidana fight allowing clear illegal stuff to happen in front of his eyes and now this disgusting lowblow T/KO. He is by far the most crooked referee I have ever seen.

I lost all respect for anyone that thinks this was a good stoppage. They point to a good right hand earlier in the round to justify the low blow T/KO or say Kovalev was looking to quit... quite pathetic.
