    They are wrong.

But I guess when serguei is in the crunch, he doesn't really understand what JDJ is saying.
Dude sounds punch drunk as fck.

I guess it is hard to understand for a guy who barely speak english.
Yea it seems like JDJ is simply there to "hold zee mitts" & he can be open about sh^t (I heard him say Isiah Thomas, CW prospect, schooled Sergey in sparring & lotsa guys would beat him if he ever moved up) mainly cuz no one gives a sh^t what the "hold zee mitts" guy says much like he's simply the waterboy or something damn near lol.

And thats why I think Ward was pushing the angle he was pushing for so long. Cuz he can't envision a team working like that cuz his trainer is his adopted dad ffs & his team IS his family in a way & no one speaking or doing as JDJ does would be accepted on Team Ward. So he's just projecting outward to a completely different team some news that would destroy Team Ward if roles were reversed.

I still give Kovalev a shot to stop Ward, but Kovalev's biggest problem when he fights the best guys among his opponents is he'll be less likely to stop those caliber guys as a rule & as anyone who gets to that level learns. Plus there is lil group strategic narrative on how to win fights when that goes down opening him up to be outsmarted vs "teams" that are working together towards the goal of winning a fight + have a similar high level of talent.

Respect to Kovalev on getting to this point largely on his own ring IQ & abilities doe. I mean how many guys are good enough to get where Kovalev as gotten (or could get higher then today) largely on their own decisions seemingly exclusively or near exclusively during the fight? Not a whole lot of guys I don't think.
