I hope nobody here puts money on Ward to win. I like Kovalev to win convincingly.

The way Ward got inside was to slip Kova's head shots. Kova will go to the body more which will negate that. I also think Kova will be less physically flat this time.

The idea that Ward wins because the rematch favours the boxer is false because Kovalev is the better boxer in my opinion. Kovalev also has range and power advantages. Ward is the smaller fighter who is too wary of Kova's power to land significant counter punches. Ward is past prime. He has not been the same since he had shoulder surgery in early 2013. Ward was breathing heavy last couple rounds of first fight and i expect him to tire and lose some sharpness given how Kova is gonna cut the ring off more and go to the body more when Ward bends belows the waist.

Anyway, I don't think this is a hard fight to predict and just to offer credence to my advice, here's my picks for this year:

predicting spence ko, 2nd most likely outcome imo is spence decision , 3rd brook decision and 4th brook ko

brook slows down later rounds and spence stops him 10th round. brook only looks to hold when hes on the ropes, he doesnt look to slip and catch and counter like floyd. weight cut will affect brook and he will tire and get trapped on the ropes. brook is vulnerable to spence's right hook up close.

both fighters are really good and disguise their shots really well.
i expect it to be on the close on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage.

I favour Briedis to dominate this fight in what i personally think is a mismatch. Huck is shot, legs are gone and he does not have the gas tank he used to have. Briedis has faster hands, is more athletic and will vary attack to head and body particularly attacking the midsection when Huck is on the ropes with his high guard. I bet quite a lot on it too.

Placed my bets on fight to go distance at 8/15

I think leo can allow frampton to initiate the attacks at times and counter punch the counter-puncher.

I think it's funny that Max has gotten the rep of being a Ward nuthugger amongst users on Twitter when his opinion in the promotional videos seems pretty reasonable. He refers to the decision for Ward as being one he was 'fortunate' to receive, suggests that on rewatching the fight he scored it just slightly for Kovalev, and seems to be expecting Kovalev to win the rematch.

Not a single person is picking Ward by k.o. That poll just shows how featherfisted and how terrible of a fighter Ward is, in a real fight Ward wouldnt even be competitive.

I think it's funny that Freedom picked Kov by KO 5-8 here, but in the BoxRec contest he picked Ward by Close Decision with a 3X multiplier
