Floyd might hold a lot of records but he's never really had the support and adulation from the public like Joshua gets. He probably doesn't care though, he made a lot of money and that's what he cares about, so fair play.

Then again, he does seem to begrudge others having success, unless he's part of it. For someone so successful, he seems to have a bitterness about him when it comes to other people having their own success. So maybe he does actually care he never got the credit and popularity that he thought he deserved. That's mainly down to him as a person though. I don't mind him, i don't care much either way but truthfully 95% of people think he is a prick.

I think he feels threatened when people are mentioned as 'the guy' because he's used to being the p4p #1, does that 'who's that guy' thing to make himself feel important. All in all I think he's holding into the amount of money he's made as that's his biggest achievement, he can say he made the most money (and he does). Once that's gone he'll be judged more fairly on his skills (which I think were great, especially the way he adapted with age) and maybe he doesn't think he'd be in contention to be TBE without being the highest paid.

It's odd for him to diss AJ as Anthony Joshua has done nothing but praise Floyd and isn't even a rival in the same weight division.. But Floyd has continued to take sly jabs at him while in the UK.. Jealousy?

During the the AJ vs Vlad fight the commentators apparently said the crowd was electric like they were in the Mayweather v Pacquiao fight.. Lol. Floyd said he found that comment amusing as he didn't need a 100k fans to generate $74million gate.

The gate actually generated $72,198,500 from 16,219 rickets making the average ticket around $5k. Those fans weren't electric, they were most likely in tears that they paid so much money to see the most anticlimactic fight ever.

For comparison, for Floyd's 19th fight he fought Angel Manfredy in front of 4k fans.
Floyd is the current top draw, and Anthony Joshua is coming up onto his status wholely independent of Floyd's acclaim.

Floks have been trying to put Joshua over Floyd already, but Floyd had to push that back with a sharp quip.

Anthony Joshua is a budding superstar, but he's not their yet; Floyd's paid gate for the Pacquiao fight (not counting any price increases on the secondary market) was still more proceeds than what Joshua-Klitschko was able to pick up on their entire event.

        there are still levels

True AJ has a long way to go but he's looking promising to be the next big thing in boxing when you take into account it's his 19th fight so technically speaking AJ's surpassed Floyd in terms of popularity and PPV sales compared to where Floyd was at his 19th fights.

People are still falling for the Mayweather don't know who so and so is. I don't think it's jealousy, he only going to promote his brand which is himself.

Floyd vs Joshua @ 153 catchweight. Make it happen. Floyd will own him.

A heavyweight boxer and a super featherweight fighter are largely moved along at drastically different paces; to draw any type of conclusion off of the number of fights each would have is a mistake.
