Weight was the issue, the fact that Canelo NEVER fought at 160 was the issue had GGG done what he said he would they would of made the fight at the weight Canelo was fighting at. But GGG demanded it only be at 160 and tried to force a purse bid. So they told GGG ok then you can wait a year until Canelo moves up to 160 since you don't want to try and negotiate a fight below 160. GGG own trainer said we refuse to negotiate the weight. Where in any quote did he say he was avoiding GGG? He said it over and over last year canelo is not ready for 160 hes not a middleweight which as we know is the ONLY weight GGG would fight at. First his promoter said he would go down to make the fight then refused to negotiate weight demanding only at 160. Stop being clowns lying with titles saying someone said something he didn't. Months AFTER Loeffler saying he would now refuse to negotiate below 160 and started trying to force a vacate rather then make the fight. And even said if he did vacate he would then negotiate weight which he also lied because after canelo dropped the belt still said would only fight at 160
