    The cord cutting is real

ESPN layed off 100 people today

The Porter Berto fight was good even tho it was a mismatch and no way Berto should've gotten paid more then Porter. SHO could've gave those paydays to a Chocolitio vs Runvisai rematch

And they extrapolate data based on those that opt in. Again, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Of course. But the point is that HBO purposely makes it annoyingly difficult to watch ways other than live, to help beef up the live number, while Showtime makes it very very easy to watch without counting towards the published number.

So the numbers need to be judged with that in mind.
Are you seriously re tarded? Neilsen put out a report estimating how many subscribers they thought espn lost based on their neilsen viewership ratings. Where do you think they came up with estimate for subscribers dip shyt? That prompted ESPN to respond saying these streaming devices don't calculate neilsen ratings. So you lied saying all these streaming guys do which they dont. Making up more shyt about sling which ONLY tracks it if a user specifically opts in and enables neilsen tracking which is by default turned off. And the rest of the guys don't offer it at all. So the vast majority using sling and others are not tracked even ESPN is telling you this phuk boy.

Cord cutting effects all networks including HBO and is not just an obstacle effecting showtime. There is more going on with their boxing ratings in the toilet then cord cutting. In 2015 in a matter of months they lost about half their viewers that isn't because they all decided to only watch on the showtime anywhere app. LMAO that had more to do with haymon creating PBC in 2015 and taking all showtime fighters to other networks leaving them with months without any boxing and they are still trying to rebound from the mess PBC caused them.

Berto is a bigger star than Porter not to mention Porter had more to gain from that fight being made. It was going to be all downhill for Berto after that fight, with Porter going on to bigger and better things. That's why Berto made more.

Berto is a bigger star than Chocolatito too. Chocolatito vs Runvisai would have done nothing special on Showtime. You guys live in a nerd bubble.

Ray Donovan on showtime got virtually the same ratings in 2015 as it did in 2016.

No dramatic drop. Boxing in the middle of 2015 falls of a cliff losing half their viewers at the same phuking time haymon creates PBC. ratings have ****** since. But that must be a coincidence and I guess only boxing fans use the showtime anywhere app that's why the ratings are only down drastically for showtime boxing content?

Big Dummy, Nielson started including vMVPD in viewership after that article was written. Either educate yourself on the subject or accept you have no idea what you're talking about.

HBO GO = not included in the published HBO boxing live viewership number.

PS Vue, Sling, etc = included.

You're unable to counter my position because the facts are on my side. Showtime subscribers are given many many great ways to view boxing. Even though it hurts the published live number. Showtime doesn't care (nor should they).

HBO restricts options to artificially beef up the published live number.

Your counter was that if that was true, they wouldn't be on PS vue, sling, etc, being too ****** to know that vMVPDs are included by Nielson now.

You then post an old article, from when they weren't included, to prove, um, absolutely nothing. An article that didn't even dispute ESPN's viewership numbers, but disputed their subscriber numbers.

And after the dispute, Nielson reanalyzed everything and came to the exact same conclusion.

Porter was a -650 favorite to win the fight. Casuals might of thought this was a close fight but its been clear for a while that Berto sucks and Porter was gonna win. I didn't give Berto a single round. He only got paid more cuz hes closer to Al

And no way is Berto a bigger "star" than Chocolatito. Not in America and definitely not across the world.

HBO go doesn't offer live stream so nobody is saying it has anything to do with Nelson. It's an on demand platform you idiot. But you are pretending that if you want to watch HBO boxing you have to watch with a cable provider which was a lie. I already gave you tons of outlets for cord cutters who want HBO Live and most do not offer Neilson ratings. The point of the article you re tard is not to dispute neilson report on ESPN but to prove to you out ESPN own mouth the one who cut the deals with sling, Playstation and others that they did not track neilson on those platforms (Nov 2016 that's old?). The only one that does now offer tracking is sling but on a very small scale and only if the user specifically goes out there way and opts in enabling this. How many people you think even know this option exists let alone do it phuk boy? By default it's turned off. So you caught in another lie.

Fact cord cutting exists but it's not a exclusive problem for showtime. It effects every network. Whatever percent you think it effects OK but that is across the board not just showtime. All networks are on a equal playing field and that same percent cuts their viewership numbers. So why aren't HBO seeing the same 50% drop off showtime boxing is having? And why are other programs like ray donovan not seeing 50% drop offs and they on the same network phuk boy? And the ratings didn't gradually fall they went off a cliff in 2015 AFTER PBC. stop your excuses for something that is very clear to see.

he's a AL haymon dyck rider who defends and puts a spin on anything haymon related that's why he's saying this non sense and making bogus excuses for the ratings. wilder drew 1.2m viewers in 2015 PRE PBC on showtime. PBC launches he goes to other networks comes back to showtime in 2016 and draws only 500k viewers. But Showtime boxing didnt actually lose any viewers according to dyck head here. Clearly all those viewers just logged in and watched it on the showtime anywhere app. But only boxing fans apparently are using this app now because the rest of showtime programing is not seeing nose dives like this in ratings. LMAO

You're an idiot. Who the underdog was doesn't change who the bigger star was. Who you gave rounds to doesn't change who the bigger star was.

Berto got paid more because he's more well known and because Porter benefited more from the fight being made. A bigger star doesn't sell a loss to a lesser star without getting paid more. You clearly have no idea how this sport works. Has nothing to do with who is closer to Al.

More people know who Andre Berto is than know who Chocolatito is. That's an easily verifiable fact. Check their online followings.

... more and more fans are using the Internet these days...

... and don't forget that, on April 22, Top Rank also had a strong "Latino" card at StubHub (Zurdo Ramirez, Jessie Magdaleno, Oscar Valdez)...

... Al Haymon's confusing "free TV" experiment also impeded fans' behavior...
