KOvalev and Ward both said KOvalev gassed. Why do Ward fans say he adapted to win

and will start where he left off?

Ward basically admitted to KOvalev gassing in the 1st fight and before the fight said he had poor stamina. KOvalev admitted to gassing in the fight. KOvalev won most of the 1st half of the fight then gassed. Ward started winning rounds while KOvalev was fatigued.

Why are people saying Ward figured him out and will start where he left off? KOvalev isn't going to be fatigued from the starting bell lol. I can see Ward judging the distance better but I don't see him starting that much better and possibly knocking out KOvalev like some Ward fans say. Was it the fatigue of KOvalev or Ward adapting that made more difference?

Why not just focus on the rematch, all questions will be answered then.

even if he fatigued in the second half he managed to win clearly at least 2 rounds (9 and 10 to me). obviously wart's fans won't admit he was lucky to get the decision. and i don't see all this "figuring him out" to be honest. i saw ward did the exact same thing all night long. kovalev mistake was trying to out wrestle ward. that tired him up

Because even gassed Kovalev is a great fight, one of the P4P best in the world.

Even in that reduced stamina state he could jab from the outside and drop devastating right hands every so often.

If the fight stayed outside, Kova still wins it.

Ward adapted by making it an ugly inside affair.

An already gassed Sergei had no stomach for that kind of fight (not sure a totally fresh Sergei likes it much either) and did a whole lot of holding and headlocks to avoid it.

And lost a lot of rounds because of that.

I personally do believe he will start where he left off because he has him figured out now. Ward is this type of fighter, and even this type of person if you observe him carefully during interviews.

He will be less gun-shy then he was in the first few rounds of the first fight. I also think he mentally got to Kovalev by going inside on him the way he did. Evidently Kovalev didn't like that.
