Pretty good card. Not a bad fight for gamboa since he just fought like 3weeks ago

Quick turnaround for Gamboa but this is what he needs fights and activity to knock off the rust. Castellano had a string of great upset wins knocking out Ronny Rios, Rocky Juarez, Caballero but he's been out for a year since his loss to Escandon. But a good fight considering you have just a month to prepare.

So they ended up going with Castellanos instead of Velez, interesting. Castellanos is much more dangerous imo, but we'll see how he looks moving up in weight. Just noticed it said this is a lightweight fight? So Castellanos gonna be jumping up 2 weight classes for this. Are they planning to have Gamboa fight at 135 after this or is it just a 1 fight thing and the plan is still to go at 130? It all may be irrelevant though, because if Gamboa looks as rusty as he did last time out, Castellanos could beat him

Castellanos is the upset kid I will never count him out learned my lesson too many times. I also agree he is more dangerous then Velez who looks cooked.

Terrible fight for Gamboa Castellanos is so she's been thrown out with the bathwater and in those last couple fights he's had a terrible tendency to cut ...his reactions and reflexes are pretty much gone... a little bit of due diligence could have found a much better opponent...

May 5 is less then a month away. What top fighter is taking a fight on weeks notice? They want him to knock off the rust he was inactive for years and just fought a few weeks ago.

Too late for Gamboa to stay active. He isn't going anywhere.

Another solid card put out by Golden Boy Promotions on ESPN. All 3 fights are well matched.

Castellanos is going to give Gamboa hell in my opinion. People forget Castellanos was beating Escandon until that head clash caused his nose to break.

Abraham is being tested by Rojas. Lopez needs to look dominate this fight.

Finally that opener is going to be intriguing. By are very unproven Middleweights so it's going to be a step up fight for both men.
