    Take the fight

Yeah, GGG Should take the money. He needs a Real big name under his belt. He beats Canelo, then he becomes king of the ring and can call all the shots. He'd be top of the ticket in a rematch. GGG is great but forgettable if he doesn't tak over now and grab the biggest names...

He doesn't have a guaranteed contract like Floyd had with HBO and SHO. After the Chavez Jr fight, I think it takes Canelo 3-5 fights to make the money he could make against GGG. Also don't forget Canelo does not have the same fan base that Floyd did; a base that loved the running and **** talking. Mexican fans have a limited tolerance for talking outside the ring.

Everybody agrees Canelo has the advantage today but without guaranteed money from HBO or SHO his current advantage could come to an end real quick. So does Canelo NEED the fight? Let me put it like this... boxing fans don't need Canelo. Here are just a few fighters that are willing to fight anybody in their division right now: Bud, Spence, GGG, Chocolatito, Krusher, Hi-Tech, Zurdo, AJ etc... I give GBP credit for building the fight this long but without guaranteed money they'll need to make a wise business decision soon.
You are delusional. Canelo has tons of options. He is already the biggest draw in boxing today. He can rematch Cotto or Chavez. And literally every fighter 2 weight classes above or below Canelo is begging to fight him at a FRACTION of what he has offered GGG. Meaning even if these fights don't sell as much as a GGG fight would he is pocketing a greater piece of the overall revenue. The moment his HBO deal is up there will be a bidding war with Showtime offering huge money to steal him back. And here's the kicker he is ONLY 26 years old. He has nothing but time on his hands and ability to pick and choose the cream of the crop in 3 or more different weight classes and the next GGG boogeyman will pop up.

The cold hard truth is GGG needs Canelo. He is clearly the B side and when his fans try to argue otherwise just make fools of themselves. And he will be the B side whenever they fight no matter how long that takes. GGG is only known and cared about from a small subset of die hard boxing fans. Casual fans don't give 2 craps about him. Which is why he's never been the part of a successful PPV. The only way he breaks out is by fighting Canelo there is no viable options for GGG to make the money Canelo has offered or more importantly the opportunity to fight on the stage where Casual fans will tune in. Canelo is ALREADY the biggest draw today he doesn't need GGG. GGG fans are under this delusion that GGG is a bigger star then he really is, if he were he wouldn't of had to wait a year and a half for HBO to give him another PPV because his Lemiuex fight flopped. He's pushing 40 has already wasted the majority of his career fighting bums on the small stage and has still yet to be a part of 1 successful PPV. Where as Canelo in his WORST PPV against a totally unknown fighter who was a massive underdog still did DOUBLE the PPV buys as GGG in what was billed at the time his biggest fight of his career. And broke the Cowboys Stadium attendance record over 50,000 surpassing the record Manny had. GGG ain't getting offers to fight in football/baseball stadiums for a reason.

Meanwhile Canelo in some of his biggest fights of his career did PPV buys 900k against Cotto, 600k against Khan, his Chavez fight will at worst do somewhere between those. And Floyd fought numerous big fights, against tons of big draws and HOFers. Yet his fight with Canelo drew 2.2m PPV buys and made more money then EVERYONE of them with the exception of Manny. Canelo drew more then Cotto, Hatton, Mosley, Marquez, and every other big name who faced Floyd except Pacquaio. To pretend like GGG is on the same level of Canelo is just plain ******. Canelo has a proven track record of success in PPV's. where as GGG has NONE and the one time he did it failed miserably.

I can't feel sorry for a boxer that turns down $15 million. As long as its at the full 160 limit, take the fight, knock him out and get paid double on the rematch.

Instead, he will be strung out until he is old and it will be a cash out fight for probably less than the $15 million.

Nobody needs to lie about anything, it's clear.

Golovkin has been offered 3x his career high purse for a mega fight, he has refused it. The guy who said he wants the big fights and 'it's not about money' has been offer both the biggest fight and a huge amount of money, but turned it down.

As great as Floyd was he needed the Oscar fight to cross over and get on the radar of casual fans. He was undisputed #1 P4P, much better resume, already won titles in multiple weight classes and been part of PPVs that drew more then 100K like GGG. Yet casual fans didn't really care about him until he took the fight with Oscar who was the biggest draw in boxing. Floyd leaped up a full weight class because Oscar demanded it, took a small piece of the revenue and agreed to every other demand from Oscar who was the A side. Floyd could of pulled a GGG and refuse to give up weight. Could of refused the offer holding out YEARS praying that Oscar offers him more later on. But that's a major risk so he played the B side role to get the big fight NOW. Increased his brand overnight by fighting and beating Oscar. And made countless more money each fight after that because of it. If he plays hardball with Oscar it drags on for years maybe somebody else get's that payday and beats Oscar and Floyd is still a HOF but only one that hardcore boxing fans care about and not the draw he became with hundreds of millions less in his bank account.

GGG is not a big enough a star and too damn old to turn down 15m offers. He needs to learn from Floyd and other B side fighters. You offered a career payday take it don't beg for nickels and phuk it up. If you so good take the deal beat Canelo and now you in the driver seat for more money going forward.

No, you keep trotting out that discredited purse bid Canard as an excuse for Canelos epic duck. No integrity.

Canelo is 3 fights ahead for GGG, body not ready wouldn't have it any sooner. Theyre still negotiating, they should be able to get fair upside as is only standard

GGG fans know that Canelo is the A side, no delusion at all. We're just happy GGG is negotiating hard too. 25%-35% is fair.

You're right about a few things but the point that you keep missing is that GGG doesn't care how much money Canelo could make without him. GGG's star power keeps growing every day, so he can afford to keep putting the pressure on Canelo to make the fight at a favorable percentage (obviously still B+ side money). Worse case GGG doesn't get the Canelo fight, so what? GGG is already richer than he ever thought possible. In the next 3 years GGG will make more money than he has all his career with or without Canelo.

GGG isn't super rich but he has go-F*yourself money, meaning that he doesn't have to take whatever is offered. Just like Manny didn't have to take Floyd's amazing 40M offer. You're playing checkers while Tom Loeffler is playing chess.
